Opportunities and Challenges for Financing Oil and Gas Projects in the Energy Transition

Thursday, 8 May

Panel
The oil and gas industry remains fundamental to fuel growing economies around the world. To meet rising demand – and to offset production declines in existing fields – the industry will need to invest over $4.3 trillion through 2030, including roughly $600 billion in capital expenditures in 2024 alone. At the same time, countries and companies around the world are increasing their spending on low-carbon technology and alternative sources of energy. This panel brings together executives from industry, investment firms, and financial advisors to discuss how we can meet the capital needs of the oil and gas industry while continue to fund the energy transition.
