Technical Session
The increasing difficulty of drilling & completing wells to produce offshore reserves, coupled with the growing demand for economically viable oil and gas production with minimal carbon emissions, has significantly shaped completion and intervention technologies over the past decade. This session will explore cutting-edge well construction systems, downhole surveillance techniques, optimized workflows, and generative AI to enhance production efficiency. Realizing the multi-well, multi-zonal, and multiple well technology complexities is critical to ensure the reliability of as-drilled well reservoir interfaces, including sand control and stimulation, as well as the hydraulic and electrical connections of intelligent completion and subsea wet connect systems. Case studies will also be presented, highlighting challenges and lessons learned.
