Tuesday, 6 May
Room 206
Executive Dialogue
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), within the U.S. Department of Interior, manages the responsible development of energy, mineral, and geological resources on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) and is, among many things, responsible for the national assessments and inventories of hydrocarbons and mineral resources. Dr. Megan Carr will discuss BOEM’s current priorities, the upcoming lease sales for oil and gas in the Gulf of America, the new OCS regions that include the recently recognized U.S. Extended Continental Shelf, and the push to identify and develop offshore critical minerals across the entirety of the U.S. Federal seabed.
