Atlanta Field Development - The Complete History on Drilling, Completion, Production and Reservoir Management
Tuesday, 6 May
Room 600
Technical Session
This session presents a view of the complete development of the Santos Basin, Block (BS-4) Atlanta Field in water depth of 1,550m, 14º API, the deepest heavy oil field in the world. Articles present aspects of Drilling, Completion, Production and Reservoir Management. overviewing its challenges, constraints and implementation methodology. Following the Early Production System (EPS), the strategy adopted for the Full Field Development (FFD) solution included: EPS with 3 wells with in-well Electric Submerged Pumps (ESPs) connected to the FPSO; Full Field Development (FFD) subsea layout able to reuse flexible lines and umbilicals, allowing both EPS and FFD FPSOs simultaneous operations for a short period to minimize impacts of FFD FPSO delay; Minimized technical modifications throughout the development process; Contractual model for suppliers with high engagement stance.
