Technical Session
The Fluminense FPSO has been successfully decommissioned and has left the Bijupira and Salema Field. This session will begin by detailing how the project navigated the often immature and subjective permitting requirements with uncertain timelines. Following this, we will present subsequent papers that provide evidence of the various completed and ongoing works. These efforts focus on ensuring no harm to people, preventing hydrocarbon releases into the environment, and achieving best-in-class recycling of recovered assets. Throughout, we will highlight how these measures safeguard the organization’s reputation and demonstrate a strong commitment to respecting nature.
