PRESS GUIDELINES

No audio recording, video recording, or photography is allowed without OTC's permission. All journalists seeking to do any of these things must register as press and check in at the OTC press room.

They will be asked to sign a form agreeing to the following:

  • Journalist represents a qualified news organization that has regularly scheduled programs.
  • No webcasting or streaming is permitted during technical sessions but is permitted in the concourse and hallways.
  • OTC may limit at its sole discretion the locations, times, and subjects for video and audio recordings and photographs.
  • All requests to interview the OTC chairman or any member of the OTC Board of Directors must be made to the OTC media contact listed below.

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Still photographers must have their OTC press badges before entering the exhibit floor. OTC press badges must be visible at all times.
  • Still photographers may cover the exhibit floor without an OTC press representative once they receive their press badge.
  • Photographers must ask permission of exhibitors before photographing any area in which their exhibit appears.
  • Photography inside the technical sessions is not permitted, except by official OTC staff.
  • Photographs of speakers and presenters are permitted with their consent and may only occur on the exhibit floor or hallways.
  • OTC staff will upload daily photos by the end of the day, when available. Click here for photos
  • OTC’s show photographer can provide professional quality, high-resolution photos of the NRG Center exhibition area from the catwalk. No other photographers are allowed on the catwalk. An OTC press representative in the press room can help fulfill photo requests.

AUDIO RECORDING

  • Radio and podcast reporters must have OTC press badges before entering the exhibit floor. OTC press credentials must be visible at all times.
  • Audio recordings inside the technical session rooms is not permitted, except by OTC staff.
  • Audio recordings of speakers and presenters is permitted with their consent and may only occur on the exhibit floor or hallways.
  • Radio and podcast reporters may cover the exhibition floor without an OTC press representative once they receive their press badge.
  • Radio and podcast reporters must get permission from the exhibiting company before conducting any interviews in an exhibitor’s area.
  • Taped information will be used for brief news reports that will not be broadcast more than 30 days following the close of OTC.

VIDEO RECORDING

  • Video crews must be accompanied by an OTC press representative to film on the exhibit floor, and must check in at the press room each day. Scheduling in advance with the OTC media contact will ensure you get the access you need.
  • Video crews must have OTC press badges before entering the exhibit floor. OTC press credentials must be visible at all times.
  • Video recordings of technical sessions is not permitted, except by OTC staff.
  • Video recordings of speakers and presenters is permitted with their consent and may only occur in the mezzanine or hallways.
  • Taped information will be used for brief news reports that will not be broadcast more than 30 days following the close of OTC.
  • No final product will incorporate more than five minutes of video from the exhibition floor, without special written permission of OTC.

EXHIBITOR-APPOINTED PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS

Exhibitor-appointment photographers and videographers will have special badges to indicate that they are allowed to take photography in the exhibiting company’s booth. Exhibitor staff must escort the photographer/videographer on and off the exhibit floor. They are not allowed to take photography or video outside of the booth.
