About the Distinguished Achievement Awards
The OTC Distinguished Achievement Award, one of the most prestigious honors in the offshore energy sector, is presented annually to recognize the outstanding achievements and exceptional leadership contributions of an individual and organization. Each year, a distinguished panel of industry experts meticulously reviews countless nominations from around the globe, selecting recipients whose contributions have significantly impacted the offshore energy sector.
The award not only celebrates technological, humanitarian, safety, environmental contributions but also highlights the recipient's dedication to excellence and their commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Receiving the OTC Distinguished Achievement Award is a testament to leadership and vision for the future of offshore energy.
The net proceeds from the awards event are donated to a charitable organization that is in some way connected to the offshore energy industry or to the communities where we operate. Since 1971, approximately USD 2 million has been donated to worthy organizations.

The Offshore Technology Conference is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024 Distinguished Achievement Awards. This year, the conference recognizes Kerry J. Campbell for Individual Achievement, Petrobras’ Marlim and Campos Basin for institutional achievement, while recognizing EnerGeo Alliance with a Special Citation.

OTC Distinguished Achievement Award for Individuals
Kerry J. Campbell is selected for his pioneering work in developing modern deepwater site characterization practice and for teaching and mentoring generations of site characterization professionals.
OTC Distinguished Achievement Award for Companies, Organizations, and Institutions
This year’s Distinguished Achievement Award for Companies, Organizations, and Institutions is awarded to Petrobras for the deployment of a wide set of new technologies for the successful revitalization of the Marlim Field and the entire deepwater Campos Basin, unlocking new paths for mature deepwater asset redevelopment, with significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
OTC Special Citation
A Special Citation is presented to EnerGeo Alliance for its longstanding leadership in promoting efficiency and environmental sustainability in offshore seismic data collection.
