Keynote Speaker Series
Recent legislation to authorize carbon sequestration on the U.S. outer continental shelf and to expand tax credits for carbon sequestration has created an opportunity for the U.S. to emerge as a leader in the offshore carbon sequestration industry. Given the geologic capacity and the presence of a strong oil and gas sector in the region of the Gulf Coast of the U.S., the industry has been proactive in working together and with regulators to build and advance an offshore carbon sequestration industry in the U.S. The objective is to share our unique experience in collaborating on this issue in order to help enhance industry efforts throughout the global supply chain to enable subsea injection project.
